Title: SCIN131 Help! titration
Post by: ada121604 on Feb 20, 2014
I have made it through the class just fine...so far, but we are doing titrations now and I am so confused on this. I have watched the video done research online and looked in my ebook, but I am still not getting it. Can someone walk me through the steps of these problems so that I can see the correct answer and how to calculate it? I am sure there will be more problems like this in the future. I need to know how to do this.

A 7.00-mL sample of a sulfuric acid solution of unknown concentration is titrated with a 0.1601 M Sodium Hydroxide solution. A volume of 4.99 mL of the base was required to reach the endpoint. What is the concentration of the unknown acid solution? Write the neutralization reaction, balance it, name the products THEN Solve the problem above.

Calculate the mass of glucose (C6H12O6) in a 115-mL sample of a 1.21 M glucose solution.

On this one, I know I am messing up somewhere but this is what I got.

115mL /1000mL per L = .115L
.115L contains .115 x 1.21mol glucose or (.13915 mol)
.13915mol x 180.15g/mol = 25g glugose
