Title: Galaxies in all directions appear to the red shifted, as if rushing away from us Post by: ppk on Dec 22, 2011 Galaxies in all directions appear to the red shifted, as if rushing away from us in the center of the universe. How does the cosmological principle handle this problem?

Since space itself is expanding, there is no preferred direction and no center to the Universe.
