Title: Signal transduction pathway

The same signal can have different final effect on different cells. Using your knowledge of the cellular communication and signal transduction pathways, shortly explain this phenomenon.

My assumption would be that although various cells use the same signal transduction receptors to initiate a pathway, not all cells express the same proteins. For instance, a neural cell likely has a receptors on its surface that, when activated, initiates a cascade, but the kinase proteins found in a neuron for instance, are different than cells specialized to function in your pancreas, so the end result will ultimately be different because after all, only genes associated with the function of neurons are active in the brain while all others are blocked.

I'm curious to hear what your say is on this?
