Title: cell labeling
Post by: ehd123 on Oct 16, 2014
What does it mean when it is written in the literature, say for example a mesenchymal stem cell with these numbers in between brackets?

Ex: Mesenchymal stem cells ( CD29+, CD73+, CD44+) ?

Those are antigen markers found on the mesenchymal stem cell. They will interact with CD29, CD73, and CD44 antibodies.

Thank you so much!

But if they were say CD29-/CD73+, would that mean that the cell lacks the CD29 antigen and expresses only the CD73 antigen?
