Assume you are the owner of a small restaurant, and only you and some of your close family members prepare the food. Do you think standardized recipes would be necessary for your operation? Why or why not?

What will be an ideal response?

Standard recipes are required for properties of all size including small mom & pop operations. While they may be more simplified, basic information about ingredients and exact quantities along with portion sizes would be helpful to anyone to help out, for example, when a family member was ill or away on vacation.
