The food of South Korea is more varied, abundant, and spicy than the food of the
north. In South Korea there is a lot of seafood consumed and the kimchi is very
spicy. In North Korea the foods are more typical of a colder climate-meats,
potatoes, barley, millet, and beans are staples. The kimchi is milder but more salty
than the South.
