Suggested response:
 Panic attacks are defined as sudden feelings of intense fear of discomfort that
reaches a peak within minutes and during which time 4 (or more) of 13
physical and cognitive symptoms occur;
 These episodes can happen at any time;
 Eleven symptoms are physical  i.e.: palpitations, sweating, shortness of
breath, feelings of choking, chest pain, nausea, dizziness, chills or heat
sensations, numbness, derealization of depersonalization;
 Two are cognitive  fear of losing control or going crazy, fear of dying;
 The fear and terror that a person experiences during a panic attack are not
in proportion to the true situation and may be unrelated to what is
happening around them.
