Title: Global pandemics in future.
Post by: prashantakerkar on Feb 11, 2024
Covid19 global pandemic was unexpected (originated in Dec 2019) affecting the respiratory system in Human anatomy.

Is it possible similar to Covid19 Sars virus, other variants can threaten human lives in future?

For example: Year 2050.

Can AI, Machine learning (Prediction algorithms) predict those pathogens causing global pandemic in future?

I think with the onset of AI, it is possible for computers to pick up patterns and help humans better prepare and cope with future situations. Unfortunately, our technically was capable of it in 2019, but there were many intellects in the scientific field that predicted that SARS can evolve and eventually cause problems -- people, however, didn't listen. As of today, I don't think we've even yet to learn the source of where the virus originated, so we've still got a lot of work to do. As of future pandemics, these things are inevitable, but to predict the year using AI models to which it will occur is far-fetched.
