Title: Starting to learn Biology (Books comparison) Post by: ongiri on Jun 19, 2024 Hi, I am starting to learn Biology so next year I can try to enroll to the university and sit the exam for Dietetics.
Which book do you recommend the most between: Openstax Biology 2e https://openstax.org/books/biology-2e/pages/1-introduction Campbell Biology 12th edition https://www.pearson.com/store/en-us/pearsonplus/p/9780135988046.html I think they are both valid but I don't know if maybe Openstax is more detailed since it's written by a university? Title: Re: Starting to learn Biology (Books comparison) Post by: bio_man on Jun 19, 2024 Campbell all the way, but it is way more detailed than needed for most intro courses

Title: Re: Starting to learn Biology (Books comparison) Post by: ongiri on Jun 20, 2024 Thanks for the reply. I think I am gonna print the PDF if needed. I also found one for chemistry:

Where can I find good tests to check my knowledge? I am using Chat GPT to generate tests but I think maybe there are valid ones around? Title: Re: Starting to learn Biology (Books comparison) Post by: bio_man on Jun 20, 2024 We have them scattered all throughout the forum
For example, go here and type "campbell" https://biology-forums.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=search You'll find a whole bunch of read made tests that cater to each chapter of the textbook |
