What function did the Ho Chi Minh Trail serve for the North Vietnamese?
a.   It served as a means to infiltrate Laos and Cambodia, keeping them out of the war.
b.   It made it more difficult for the South Vietnamese to recruit soldiers in Cambodia.
c.   Its twists and turns confused U.S. troops and left them susceptible to ambushes.
d.   It facilitated the movement of supplies and troops to the North Vietnamese.
