 are high energy compounds such as glucose oxidized or reduced during cellular respiration when carbon dioxide and water are produced? i think its oxidized but i dont know

During cellular respiration, glucose is, in fact, oxidized. Generally, when a molecule is being broken down, it's losing electrons.
