Helen Keller described smell as “the fallen angel of the senses.”
Because she was blind and deaf, her other senses were very important to her.
Smell is an important sense that we often ignore.
The sense of smell is closely associated with emotions of pleasure and displeasure.
It also contributes to what we usually refer to as taste.
