Title: What parts of the GI Tract and Accessory organs produce Bicarbonate?
Post by: rsiegel on Feb 4, 2015
I know the mouth, stomach, pancreas, and large intestines produce bicarbonate but I am not sure about the other organs. Which organs of the GI Tract and Accessory Organs produce bicarbonate?

Also, if possible can you please tell me what in the GI tract and accessory organs do NOT produce bicarbonate. Thank you!!!!  :)

The pancreas is the organ most responsible for producing the bicarbonate our bodies need.
