In choosing relevant variables for matching in a matched-subjects design, it is important to note that
A) we must establish the same degree of control over all extraneous variables as found in a within-subjects design.
B) we must match participants on all variables, whether relevant or not.
C) we cannot match participants on too many variables without introducing variable-match confounding.
D) a variable is relevant if it can have an effect on the dependent variable in a study.
