Movement in the human body is possible due to interactions between the skeletal, muscular and nervous systems.  For this paper, you will describe these interactions as your body goes through the following actions:

Your thirst center tells you that you are thirsty. (DO NOT DESCRIBE ANYTHING ABOUT THE ACTIVITY OF THE THIRST CENTER)  You reach for a glass of water, grasp the glass and bring it to your lips to drink.  To complete this paper you must introduce the topic by explaining how these systems interact to produce movement in general.  Then, describe:
1.   The specific path the nerve signal travels so that the conscious thought that starts in the brain “I will pick up the glass” reaches the muscles that cause the action. (Nervous system anatomy)
2.   The mechanism by which the nerve signal is initiated in the neuron, propagated down the axon and passed to the muscles (Nerve physiology)
3.   The mechanism by which the muscles are stimulated by the nerve and then contract (including sliding filament theory) (Muscle Physiology)
4.   Name the specific peripheral nerves that stimulate the specific muscles to pull the specific bones causing actions at the specific joints to produce the specific movements  needed to reach for a glass, grasp the glass, and bring it to the lips. (Nerve, Muscle, and bone anatomy)

DO NOT LIST THE SPECIFIC ANATOMICAL STRUCTURES , name them as you describe their interactions as the movements occur. See example above!!!
