Title: What is the basis of a specific enzyme? Any good websites all about enzymes?
Post by: ToddTek on Apr 29, 2012
What are the characteristics that make or allow enzymes to do their job?

Under what condition or changes do enzymes not function?

I have a lab on Thursday, and I need to find out how to test for a enzyme that won't function in its regular environment. Any ideas? Any at all!!:)
Thanks!

The geometry of the active site makes is specific.
Temperature, pH, substrate concentration, presence of inhibitors, and enzyme concentration are the factors that affect the velocity of enzyme catalyzed reactions
