Describe how the protein Post by: duddy on Aug 16, 2012 The keratin proteins in your curly hair have disulfide bonds in certain locations that cause the keratin to have bends or curls. The disulfide bonds in your brother's straight hair are in locations that don't cause bends in the keratin, so there are no curls.
