laboratory science? I am not in the army, but I used to work with a guy who was a medical technologist in the gulf war. In the civilian world you need a BS in clinical laboratory science or medical technology to work in a clinical lab, but biology degree is pretty close maybe they would train.

A biology degree won't get you into the Army Medical Corps. You need a doctoral degree in medicine for that. Aside from officers in the Allied Sciences of the Medical Service Corps, there might be some slots in the Chemical Corps. But, you would have to check with a recruiter about that.
