Title: what is the differecne between passive diffusion and active transport? Post by: RJ5876 on Sep 10, 2012 diffusion is when a molecule can pass through a given cell or something like that without using energy and it's going with the concentration gradient to try and make it even. Active transport is the opposite using energy and going against the concentration gradient.
