Post by: riptor on Feb 5, 2016
Relations between the American colonists in Texas and the government in Mexico City deteriorated after 1828 for all of the following reasons EXCEPT:
A) the post-1830 American migrants were expansionists and vehemently anti-Mexican.
B) the pre-1830 American settlers generally wanted independence for Texas in 1830.
C) the government restricted American immigration and levied customs duties.
D) the Americans did not abide by the contract under which they moved to Texas.
