Post by: irina on Sep 27, 2012
These are both nonbenzodiazpines and affect the neurotransmitter GABA.
Sweetie, I have a both Lunesta and Ambien. An hour after taking Ambien I can close my eyes and literally see sh@# whereas if I take Lunesta, bleh, you just go to sleep.

1] Depends on the person, any other drugs or medical condition, and the dose.

As you know, both are GABA agonists. Wouldn't advise it, but I would wager you can hallucinate with enough Lunesta due to dosing.

well, i don't see how any of these medications make you hallucinate per say, lunesta is a sleep agent, and ambien is more higher dose. But beware when taking them like that as the results are sometimes grave.

Honestly it depends on the person and the dosage. Ambien helps me sleep like a baby but lunesta personally makes me all sorts of crazy.
