Title: Where can I find significant levels of ozone in an urban area? Post by: oaheakea on Oct 7, 2012 Where can I find significant levels of ozone in an urban area?
I am using a Schoenbein strip and it should be kept out of direct light (reflective light, only) I need to consider the necessary reagents in the creation of ozone... but what are the necessart reagents? Post by: Tontin on Oct 7, 2012 Your best bet is near heavy industrial areas, even better if there's a large amount of vehicle traffic nearby. However, actually finding a highly concentrated ozone area down on the surface isn't very easy. The ozone tends to rise into the lower troposphere fairly rapidly. This is not a good thing, but it does keep it up off of the ground (at least, it keeps it off of the ground in those large concentrations that you're looking for).
