As the chromosomes of a parent cell are duplicated and distributed to the two daughter cells during cell division, the structure of the chromosomes changes.

Why?

Are you talking about somatic or reproductive cells? Mitosis or Meiosis?

Hmmm... Okay, I get it now

1. The sister chromatids are present during Prophase and Anaphase
2. DNA is condensed from Prophase to Anaphase and then it becomes decondensed in Telophase.
3. The whole cell.
