It would, yes. Gravitropism is the easiest tropism to understand because it's common sense. All tropisms work with auxin to move either towards or away from a stimulus. The roots show a positive gravitropism as they are pulled down by gravity while the stem and leaves etc. show a negative tropism as they move away.
