Post by: datheman on Oct 22, 2012 In seismology, is there a correlation between the earthquake magnitude on the open ended Richter Scale and the ground acceleration at a particular point? In structural engineering we relate the forces on a building structure to the ground acceleration as a proportion of the acceleration due to gravity.
