Title: what would cause the different migration rate between each wells in agarose gel electrophoresis? Post by: flowe12 on Oct 22, 2012 I have been having this trouble. DNA sample travels at different rates between different wells but I know they have the same size. The wells toward the middle of the gel always travel slower and the bands across the gel look like a rainbow shape. It happen all the times, so I think there is something wrong since it has been consistently giving this "rainbow migration pattern".
