the axons of the  cells form the optic nerve, which exits from the eyeball. True or False?

Are we referring to the ganglion cells?

I realized this was an extremely vague question. This is why it confused me -.- after reading, i realize the axons of the gangelion cell exit the optic nerve, but i was not sure. My teacher gives a lot of tricky questions, so im just paranoid now :b
