Write a balanced chemical equation showing the ionization of both the strong and weak acid in water. Which common ion is produced in both solutions?

I don't understand what the question is asking, and what it means by ionization of acids. And what would the answer be?

you know, the equation is:

HA + H2O ------> H3O(positive) + A(negetive)

for example:     HClO4 + H2O ---------> H30+ + ClO4-
