Post by: rn2011sh on Nov 3, 2012
I need to find the maximum point of  y= -0.492x^2 + 1.8058 +9
Therfore i think i have to put it in vertex form? i'm not sure. HELP. :(

diff(-.492*x^2+1.8058*x+9, x) = -  0.984*x + 1.8058

solve(-.984*x+1.8058)

 x = 1.835162602

f(x):=(-0.492 x^2 + 1.8058*x +9)

f(1.835162602) = 10.65696831

Maximum = Vertex = (1.835162602, 10.65696831)
