Title: In a series LC circuit, what effects will different capacitors have on the resonant frequency?
Post by: microbeman on Nov 5, 2012
In a series LC circuit, in which the inductance of the inductor is not changed. What effects will a larger, and a smaller capacitor have on the resonant frequency?

Will a larger capacitor cause the resonant frequency to be lower and a smaller capacitor cause the resonant frequency to become higher?

correct.

Resonant frequency of LC circuit in hertz =

(1/(2*pi))(1/sqrt(LC))

With L in henries, C in farads
