Given residues: Glycine, Alanine and Phenylalanine.
Is there a mathematical expression that allows us to calculate the total number of Sequences?

You have three amino acids so the possible number of permutatioins (combinations) is
3! which is 1 x 2 x 3 = 6
The exclamation mark stands for "faculty
