Title: How to make 5ml of a ten fold dilution?
Post by: firebolt on Nov 18, 2012
1) Make 5ml of a 10 fold dilution of the stock solution of the dye, Egg Yellow.

2) From this 10 fold diluted sample make a further 10 fold dilution.

I think that for part 1, you would add 4.5ml water and 0.5ml egg yellow. Is this right??
Thanks!

Yes, that is correct.

For part 1, you can just do exactly the same thing.  Take 0.5 ml and add to 4.5 ml water.
