Title: Finding the specific heat of Al using a calorimeter?
Post by: SMOKEY2112 on Dec 2, 2012
Question is:
An 18.50g sample of Al is heated to 99.9 degrees Celsius in a hot water bath until thermal equil. is reached. The Al sample is quickly transferred to 50mL of water at 23.8 degrees Cel. contained in a calorimeter. The thermal equil. temp. of the Al sample plus water mixture is 29.4 degrees celsius. What is the specific heat of Al?
Any help would be appreciated.
