Title: HELP! A population of walruses on an island in the South Pacific Ocean shows
Post by: bio_lover on Dec 17, 2012
A population of walruses on an island in the South Pacific Ocean shows continuous growth.  The carry capacity of the environment is 10 000 and r = 0.5.  What is the rate of growth for populations of 100, 1000 and 2000 walruses.

I think I'm supposed to use the equation that I posted. But I can figure this out! Please help!

Hi bio_lover, what do the variables K and N stand for, do you know?

Hi,

r = the intrinsic growth rate
N = population at a given time
K is the carrying capacity of the environment
