I know the outcome of cellular respiration is CO2, so I would guess through your breath, but does anyone know for sure?

Both. When you go into ketosis, your breath has a certain odor, and the products of ketosis can be tested for in the urine using Ketostix.

Fat is composed of Carbon and Hydrogen atoms.  Oxygen burns fat and breaks down to CO2 and H20 so you would release the  burned fat through your breath and as sweat through the skin.
