Post by: fionacurley on Jan 10, 2013 There are different nut colors like Green,Red,Orange,Yellow etc. But The real difference is its Genetic diversity like Dwarf and Tall coconut trees and peculiar ones like Spike less variety, varieties with more nut water, different shell thickness, Kernel loose or compact, adaptability to different stresses etc.

A green coconut is one that is unripe, and is mainly used for coconut milk/juice. When fully ripe most coconuts turn brown.
Also in the 50 United States coconuts can only be grown in Hawaii and south Florida. |
