Title: How does CD8 T cells get activated? IF APC presents antigen via MHC II, that would only activate CD4?
Post by: nursing4484 on Jan 29, 2013
so for humoral response, APC present antigen via MHC II and this activate CD4, which then activate B cells to make antibodies.  But say in viral infection, how does CD8 T cells get activated? CD8 needs antigen presented via MHC I not MHC II.  Does APC present virally infected cells on its MHC I molecule to activate CD8? please help.
