Compare the rules of cell proliferation in an animal to the rules that govern human behavior in society. What would happen to an animal if its cells behaved like people normally behave in our society? Could the rules that govern cell proliferation be applied to human societies?

What causes cells to proliferate, hmm...

1) Growth factors – Certain proteins which stimulate division

2) Density-dependent inhibition – Crowded cells stop dividing once a single layer is reached

3) Anchorage dependence – Need for cells to be in contact with a solid surface to divide, such as the extracellular matrix of a tissue or the inside of the culture jar.

Not sure how this relates to society, but I'm sure you can make connections from these.
