Describe the horizontal organizational structure.

In a horizontal organization, the traditional managerial pyramid is flattened, and the management layers are collapsed. Decision control is decentralized and spread out across many more people than in a traditional hierarchical structure. A horizontally structured organization still has some of the pyramidal aspects, including a CEO and perhaps another layer of middle management, but then the organization concentrates the majority of the remaining employees into working teams or groups. Here the organization chart would be flat and wide because there are many people with authority and fewer people in positions of direct control.
