PPC ads are ads that appear on the results page of a search engine after a person types in certain keywords into the engine The ads are related to the topic the searcher is interested in; if the searcher clicks on an ad, the company that placed the ad pays a fee to the search engine. Google AdWords and AdSense are prime examples of PPC ads in action. More recently, Google has been offering the option of placing PPC adds on websites and blogs, which generates revenue for the website or blog owners. PPC ads are effective because their placement makes it likely that the ad is for a product of interest to the viewer.
