Title: what is the kinetic energy of the shuttle relative to the earth?
Post by: FinFan on Feb 13, 2013
A space shuttle has a mass of 83,523 kg in a circular orbit of radius 3.86*10^6 meters around the earth. If it takes it 84.8 minuets to complete each orbit, what is the kinetic energy of the shuttle relative to the earth?
The answer should be 9.49 × 10^11 but i can't seem to get there.
