Title: What is the common difference of this arithmetic sequence?
Post by: juju2744 on Feb 19, 2013
What is the common difference (what you add to continue the pattern) of this sequence?

5, -10, 15, -20,...
Ok so no common difference got it.
My hw question asks me to find a formula for the nth term of this sequence. How do I do that?

The difference between sequential terms is
-15, 25, -35
There is no common difference.
Common differences exist in arithmetic sequences.
This is not an arithmetic sequence.
