you see the blood group is due to certain PROTEINS that are expressed - proteins - every SINGLE one is a phenotype. this IS a phenotype. the top contributor man above this answer is correct. If you're Type A it means you're expressing type A proteins. It doesn't tell you if you're Ai or AA (or AO or AA, which is the same thing) blood type = phenotype.
