1 -- Persistent pain, swelling, and decreased motion describe patient complaints for reflex sympathetic dystrophy. A cone that has not healed by the usual time expected describe nonunion or delayed union. Leg swelling, pain, tenderness, and cramping describe symptoms of deep vein thrombosis. Numbness beyond a cast and toes that are pale with delayed capillary refill describe symptoms of possible compartment syndrome.
