Manifestations involve muscles that were initially infected as well as new muscle groups. Symptoms include fatigue, muscle and joint weakness, loss of muscle mass, respiratory difficulties, and pain as well as cold intolerance, dizziness, headaches, urinary incontinence, and sleep disorders. The cause of this syndrome is unknown.
