UV has more energy.  The little saying to remember the colors of the rainbow really help.  
Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet
Low Energy ------------------------------->High Energy

Red and Infrared are the low energy, Violet and Ultraviolet are higher.

Notice we say ULTRA violet (above visible) and INFRA red (below visible). This applies to energy and frequency. Higher frequencies are more energetic.
