Moreland and Beach (1992) had different assistants attend a class 0, 5, 10, or 15 times over a semester. None of the assistants, however, actually interacted with the students. At the end of the semester, when students were shown photos of the assistants and asked how much they liked each one, it was found that:
a. the more often an assistant was present in class, the less students liked him or her.
b. the less often an assistant was present in class, the more students liked him or her.
c. there was no relationship between how often an assistant had been present in class and how much he or she was liked.
d. the more often an assistant was present in class, the more students liked him or her.
