Title: Re: I need help on lab PhysioEx 9.0 Post by: duddy on Sep 27, 2011 why the addition of glucose carriers had no effect on sodium or potassium traport Glucose carriers have a specific binding site for glucose, not sodium or potassium. In order for sodium and potassium to move into and out of the cell, respectively, they require a sodium-potassium pump, which is dependent of the glucose carrier. Does this make sense? |
