a.   held to determine whether certain prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment with no eligibility for parole for 15 years should be allowed to apply for parole after 10 years.
b.   held to determine whether certain prisoners sentenced to 25 years should be allowed to apply for parole after 10 years.
c.   held to determine whether certain prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment with no eligibility for parole for 25 years should be allowed to apply for parole after 15 years
d.   held to determine whether certain prisoners sentenced to minor offences should be allowed to apply for release without parole.
