Dale was given medication each time, which relieved the discomfort. Yesterday, he went to the doctor and was told that he had gout again and that he should take the medication on an ongoing basis, one pill after breakfast and one at bedtime. After 2 months, Dale decided not to continue taking the medication. Dale’s behaviour can be explained by the fact that
